2007-2008 St. Paul AAUW Scholarship Information

 The St. Paul Branch AAUW Scholarship Trust announces its scholarships for the 2007-2008 academic year. Up to four scholarships will be awarded to high school senior women graduating from public and private schools in the St. Paul area.  Applicants should be in the top 20% of their class and plan to attend an accredited four year college or university. The amount of the scholarship is $3,000 and is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient remains a full-time student and maintains a B average. Applications are available in high school guidance or career offices and are due March 15. Members and relatives of St. Paul Branch AAUW are not eligible.

 The Lilian Osborn Poetry Scholarship is available to high school senior women graduating from public and private schools in the St. Paul area. Applicants should be in the top 20% of their class, show promise in poetry and plan to attend an accredited four year college or university. Students must be recommended by their English teacher and submit 3 poems. The amount of the scholarship is $3,000 and is renewable for three additional years providing the recipient remains in school and maintains a B average. Applications are available in high school guidance or career offices and are due March 15. Members and relatives of St. Paul Branch AAUW are not eligible.

 One RETURNING WOMAN SCHOLARSHIP for $2000 will also be awarded. This scholarship is intended to help a woman in the St. Paul area who is at least 25 years old and whose undergraduate education has been interrupted, who has been accepted in a two-year or four-year degree program at an accredited college or university. This is a grant for one year. Members and relatives of St. Paul Branch are not eligible. Applications are available in local college financial aid offices or by sending your name and address to St. Paul AAUW Scholarship Trust, 990 Summit Ave., St. Paul, MN 5 5105. They are due by March 15.
