The generosity of our St. Paul AAUW members and friends through estate bequests, fund-raisers, memorial gifts and charitable gifts has allowed the principal of the trust to grow. Since 1911, more than 400 women from the St. Paul area have earned bachelor’s degrees with the assistance of our funds. Today, the rising cost of higher education, and therefore, the ever-increasing student debt burden, is an alarming reality of our times. It’s more important than ever to support young women in their pursuit of a college education. Our goal is to increase the Trust investments to the point where all the annual scholarships can be funded from the interest on our principal. With donations from our members and friends, we can reach that goal and ensure our continued support of our scholars’ educational goals and dreams.
